Walk 46 – Yantlet Creek to Egypt Bay, Kent
North Kent is full of surprises. Walking from Yantlet Creek to Egypt Bay, on the Hoo Peninsular, there are shell beaches to discover, WWII remnants and hidden bays.
The Thames kindly offers long stretches of pebbled mud to walk along, fine views over to Canvey Island and riverbank sculptures.
The return is along Manor Way and Dagnam Saltings through very pretty farmland and shoreline marsh.
Look out for the strange ruined 'farm buildings' near West Point on St Mary Marshes. If you know what their purpose was, please let me know.
