Walk 50 – Prinsted to Emsworth, Sussex
From Prinsted, West Sussex to Emsworth, Hampshire, the shoreline around Thorney Island affords superb views over Chichester Harbour.
Yachts and boats are the order of the day with the expanse of Pilsey Sand, the day's highlight.
Being an MoD area, the footpath enters and leaves by electric gates decorated with barbed wire. Simply ring the buzzer for access and later, egress.
From Emsworth it's a simple cross-country return to Prinsted on the Sussex Border path.
