Upper Upnor to Kingsnorth Power Station, Kent

Steeped in history, the shoreline walk from Lower Upnor to Kingsnorth Power Station, Grain, Kent is dotted with forts and wrecked boats.

Access to the shoreline is becoming more difficult now, with private businesses and the familiar soft ooze hampering my path.

But there is still a good section of shoreline to explore and what a delight is was. There's even an elephant's graveyard for boats.

Return through wheat sown fields in the afternoon warmth, and a quick pint in Upper Upnor.
