Walk 37 – Bishopstone to Tankerton, Kent
For me, walking from Bishopstone to Tankerton, Kent was an education; an education in crabs.
Peeler, edible and shore crabs were all identified to me by a nice local chap who takes them for fishing bait. I've always wondered what the tyres are for and now I know.
The going is soft sand, rocky outcrops and mud, some of it impassable around the piers at Herne Bay.
Look out for seals Long Rock just before reaching Tankerton.
