Chesil beach
Curving away from Fortuneswell on the Isle of Portland, Devon to West Bay, West Devon stretches the unmistakable Chesil pebble beach.
To take in the splendour of this 18-mile Jurassic Coast UNESCO World Heritage Site, put New Ground Car Park, New Ground road in your sat nav, park up and walk back to the Portland Cenotaph. If you can't see the beach from here, you're looking the wrong way.
A great angling spot but swimming is discouraged due to under currents and steep drop offs.
A must see for shoreline lovers.
