Dapdune Wharf
We loved this place. You can walk the towpath, explore from the water or just laze on the grassy banks.
Dapdune Wharf is now an award winning heritage site but started it days as an important boatyard and industrial wharf on the river Wey, Guildford, Surrey.
Now maintained by the National Trust, the once busy yard now tells the story of the 15-mile waterway that linked London and Guildford which began in 1653.
Interesting history and the chance of a boat ride too.
