St Mary's church
Hidden away behind a small hedge in downtown Bulverhythe, just off the A259 Bexhill Road, is the small, relatively unknown ruin of St Mary's church.
Grade II listed and originally built by the Earls of Eu during Norman times, the church was later rebuilt in Early English Style in the 14th century. Built of pebble, stone and flint, much of the church was demolished during 20th century road construction.
Not much to see but rare to find something this small and insignificant, preserved for antiquity.
