Rye Harbour Discovery Centre
If you fancy getting involved in nature in East Sussex, then the Rye Harbour Discovery Centre is the place to visit. There are nature courses, walks and events to join, plus volunteering at the reserve itself.
The shiny new centre replaces the old but quaint shack that stood for years on the Harbour Road, but sometimes progress is better.
Inside, there is a pleasant café with great views, lots of info boards and hands-on exhibits. There is plenty of merchandise but expensive for my limited pocket. And there's a toilet – which will help the pillbox further up the road!
