Riverhill Himalayan Gardens

Having visited many gardens and estates over the years, for me they are all getting a bit samey. Maybe it's because we went a little late in the year when the blooms were tired and a little sad. Nevertheless, the grounds were manicured and pretty for the regular weddings held here, wood attractions keep the little ones happy or they can search for the resident yeti – I kid you not.

To appreciate Riverhill visit at different times of the year. Over the decades the gardens have suffered but recent restorations offer visitors a plethora of blooms from spring bluebells to summer roses, rhododendron and azaleas. On a different tack, the café food is decent, while those with puff a short walk offers good views and did I mention the yeti?
