Walk 34 – Felpham to Pagham Harbour, Sussex
At last, Spring 2013 seems to have sprung. Bognor Regis, West Sussex is bathed in warm April sunshine as I make my way to Pagham Harbour (nature reserve) some five miles distant.
The town of Bognor soon gives way to beach huts and private housing estates. My old friends, shingle and groynes, lead the way to Pagham.
Pagham Harbour is a delight. The tide is nearly out revealing shingle spits and fast flowing gullies. A great place for wildlife spotting.
With the tide now receded, a thin band of muddy sand is revealed broadening into a wide, rock strewn, arch at Bognor. Glorious in the golden rays.
