Stourhead

Grandiose Palladian mansion set in over 2,000 acres of glorious Wiltshire countryside.

The house is home to the usual art, books and some pieces of Chippendale furniture.

The crowning glory though is the lakeside walk. Created in the 1740s by Henry Hoare II, it is a masterpiece of landscape design.

Stroll around and you will discover follies, temples, glorious woodland vistas and secret paths.

And there's a grotto too. A lovely walk.
