Greys Court
A bit further afield, Greys Court is a handsome Tudor country house in the pretty Chiltern Hills, Oxfordshire. The walled garden houses a maze, fruit and vegetable gardens plus an ice house. Interestingly, the house has its ruined castle within its perimeter, the surviving tower built around 1347.
A location for films and TV, Greys Court has appeared in Downton Abbey, Agatha Christie's Poirot and Midsummer Murders. And yes you've guessed it, owned by the National Trust.
