If you can, pick a fine day for this delightful walk from Shoreham-by-Sea to Worthing, Sussex.

Shoreham Harbour is mix of old and new and very photogenic. Look out for the fleet of people living against the tide of normality.

Further round is Shoreham Fort and the West Breakwater, popular with fishermen. The going is then shingle and sand plus my old friends, the groynes.

Returning by footpath, the Widewater Lagoon Nature Reserve, bordered by pretty houses, is a lovely spot.
