Walk 33 – Ramsgate to Cliftonville, Kent
It's April Fool's Day, 2013 and absolutely freezing. Four layers including thermals but the biting wind still manages to get in without an invitation.
The beautiful stretch of coastline from Ramsgate to Cliftonville, Kent is a carpet of fine sand from start to finish.
Chalk cliffs give little protection from the chilling breeze but erosion has sculptured arches, tiny islands and golden bays.
A cliff top return with incredible coastal views rounds off a cold but invigorating day.
