Herstmonceux Castle, East Sussex
Exploring Kent & Sussex
If you're on holiday, new to Kent and Sussex or just need a day out, listed here are a few ideas to help you get a bit of fresh air.
The beach is a very popular destination for kids and adults but don't forget to look inland for castles, country houses, ruins, gardens… the list is endless!
With places to go and things of interest for all ages, you might just find that idea you're looking for. I've added a few that are a little further afield. Have fun!
Please note: due to the internet's limitless coverage on just about everything, my descriptions are short and sweet. My photographs, I hope, will do the destinations more justice. Many are owned by the National Trust or English Heritage. See their websites and numerous others for full details of opening times, admission charges, etc.
